NEOJAPAN Inc.'s Southeast Asia Centre of Excellence (SEA CoE) is an initiative to establish Malaysia as a regional platform for cloud operations, AI-enabled transformation, and talent development across Southeast Asia. A year on from the MoU exchange between Invest Johor and NEOJAPAN — pictured above at the Nikkei Forum Medini in 2025 — the initiative has moved from a signed commitment into active execution.

A Regional Operating Platform, Not Just an Office

Today, NEOREKA ASIA — NEOJAPAN's Malaysian subsidiary — operates as a Malaysia support base, covering Technical Operations, Multilingual Support, and Product Localization. The SEA Centre of Excellence scales this into a full regional SEA hub, adding six new capabilities: Cloud Service Operations, Customer Success, Talent Development, AI Integration, Research & Development, and DX Consulting.

From Commitment to Execution

Following the June 2025 MoU milestone, witnessed by PMX, NEOJAPAN has made progress on three fronts:

  • SEA Cloud Hosting — consolidated in Malaysia, now supporting 5,000+ users across the region.
  • Ecosystem Partner Engagements — with key partners including Invest Johor, Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB), Cyberview, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and the Johor Talent Development Council (JTDC).
  • Malaysia Digital Status — NEOREKA ASIA has been recognised as a Malaysia Digital (MD) status company. Read more →

What NEOJAPAN Is Building Toward

Over the next five years, the SEA Centre of Excellence targets the creation of 100 high-skilled IT and digital jobs, in roles spanning IT engineering, cloud services, AI integration, and DX consulting, aimed at supporting higher-income job creation in Malaysia. Alongside hiring, the plan includes training up to 1,000 talents in cloud, no-code, AI integration, and workflow systems, in collaboration with local universities and agencies — anchored by a regional headquarters in Malaysia serving Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

An Open Invitation to Partner

NEOJAPAN's call to collaborate spans three areas: Business Development — distributors, resellers, and referral or channel partners expanding market reach across Southeast Asia; Product Development — system integrators and industry solution partners delivering and scaling solutions; and Talent Development — education institutions and industry-academia collaboration partners building the region's next generation of tech talent.

The Roadmap Ahead

  • 2025 · Achieved — foundations laid, with Southeast Asia cloud hosting consolidated in Malaysia.
  • 2026 · In Progress — finalising the SEA CoE location, targeting full operationalisation by the end of 2026.
  • 2027–2030 · Vision — 10,000 SEA users, 1,000 talents trained, and partner-led growth across Southeast Asia.

For NEOREKA ASIA, the SEA Centre of Excellence represents the next stage of a journey that began with a Malaysia-based support operation — now growing into the regional hub behind NEOJAPAN's ambitions across Southeast Asia. Explore careers at NEOREKA ASIA →
